My Story

The last five years of my career were spent at an august and much vaunted City of London establishment, so before I began to explore my spiritual side I was a serious person, doing a serious job in the "real" world! Demanding, challenging and fascinating as it was, I am glad that I was given an opportunity to find my true vocation which, unsurprisingly, came to me through a series of synchronist events.

My job came to an end six months before my partner was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and one year later he died. When I was sufficiently recovered from that traumatic event, I felt I needed to do something stimulating and meaningful and I knew I wanted to help other people.

So how best could I help? What experience did I have to offer? I began by becoming a volunteer with Victim Support and with the Witness Support Service working within Magistrate Courts and also became a member of my local Parish Council but that was not enough.

I had already trained as a massage therapist and I thought I wanted to run a therapy centre, so I went on various workshops to learn as much as I could about other different disciplines. I took courses galore but I just couldn't find a way to help people in the way that I wanted.

Ultimately SRT found me - of course! A loud message from Spirit called me to begin my wonderful journey with Spiritual Response Therapy.

In large measure I thank Michael, whose untimely death put me in a position to explore my vocation. My thanks also go to all those along my path and to the Detzler's and all at the Spiritual Response Association who have worked so hard to bring this amazingly profound system into the public arena.

I am much more than I think I am. I can be much more even than that. I can influence my environment. The people. I can influence space itself. I can influence the future. I am responsible for all those things. I and the surround are not separate. They’re part of one. I’m connected to it all. I’m not alone.
